Ordering Process

All potential projects start with a review of requirements and budget, after which we draft a project proposal based on our discussions of your needs and options. All projects require the proposal to be signed and a deposit is due before work begins on your project. We are an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau in the United States.

Typical Project/Design Process

Once we begin work on your project, we will follow an organized routine that is similar for most services we provide. The following outlines the typical steps we take:

• Discovery - We begin by analyzing the styles and characteristics of the company, and the intended audience. We will also discuss and review any outside inspirations you may have for the project. This helps set the initial tone for the creative process.
• Conception - The creative process begins at the moment of enlightenment. This process cannot be coerced, but as we let the inspirations and project details coalesce, innovation starts flowing and design starts to take shape in the form of sketches and wireframes. While we envision much more in our minds, structure is the foundation of any design, Web or otherwise, and it is vital to address upfront.
• Wireframe Review - For Web-specific projects, the client can usually opt to be included in the wireframing process, allowing collaboration in in the process of determining the overall layout and structure for the Website, including its navigation, content sections, and layout type.
• Development - At this point, the concepts begin to bloom, as we begin to develop the sketches or wireframes into full-fledged designs.
• Proofing - At this point, we present the fully-developed designs to you for your review, feedback and approval. 95% of our clients have been extremely pleased, even overjoyed at the results of the design at this stage. As it turns out, the other 5% have no taste.
• Refinement - The refinement process is the stage that covers the process of refining layouts, polishing design elements and tweaking functionality. For branding, it's the process of elimination of the various concepts proposed until one concept remains for final tweaking and polishing.
• Finalization - This stage takes care of all the necessary prepwork before implementing the design in its final form, whether for the Web, for print, or for another medium. We will test new websites for full functionality, accessibility and validation. We will perform preflight and press-conversion for printed collateral before printing. For brand design, we will convert the work to the proper filetypes for seamless use across various mediums. We can optionally draft documentation for designs, such as style guides or brand usage guidelines.
• Launch/Delivery - For any Web or branding project, the final stage is essentially launching the new project to the public. For printed collateral, it is the delivery or mailing of materials to you.
